Description
Nos. 51 and 52 Mardol is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 15th century, with an early 16th-century facade. The building is timber-framed, featuring uninterrupted close studding and a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The late 20th-century shop front includes an earlier fascia supported by moulded console brackets at each end, which partly conceals 16-pane sash windows on the first floor. There is an entrance to a passage on the right side. The second storey jetties out and has a moulded bressumer, with horizontal sliding sash windows.
