Description

26 Mardol is a pair of shops that likely originated as a single dwelling, dating from the late 16th century. The building features a timber-framed structure with a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high, with wide attic dormers. It has a two-window range and has been fitted with two late 20th-century shop fronts on the ground floor. Above the shop fronts, the exposed framing shows close studding with a middle rail and ogee tension braces. The first floor has tripartite sash windows, and there are 6-pane sashes in the apex of the paired gables above.
