Description

The Shrewsbury Hotel is an early 19th-century hotel located in Shrewsbury. It is constructed of painted brick and features a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has a wide two-window range, with entrances on each side framed by Doric porches, one of which is a later addition. The windows have been renewed in their original openings and have segmentally-arched heads. A central stack is present on the roof. To the left, there is a later 19th-century addition that includes public house windows on the ground floor, which have flat-arched stuccoed heads with voussoirs, and an added oriel window above. To the right, there is an early 20th-century addition.
