Description
The entrance to the Victorian Arcade, located at Nos. 24 and 25 Mardol in Shrewsbury, is an early 19th-century structure that was originally two shops or houses. It is now used as shop units and features an arcade entrance. The building is constructed of brick, with a roof that is not visible behind the parapet. It stands four storeys high and has a four-window range. The ground floor has inserted shop fronts and a central entrance arch, while the upper floors feature 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads. The attic storey has 6-pane sashes, with the central window being blind. There is a slight cornice at the parapet eaves, and an axial stack is present.
