Description
14 Broad Street is likely a late 18th century building, although it has earlier origins. It is constructed of brick and topped with a slate roof, featuring side wall stacks positioned at the rear of the roof slope. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the upper floors are adorned with 16-pane sash windows that have cambered brick heads. The second storey windows are 8-pane sashes, and there is a dentilled eaves band. At the rear, a short wing also features similar sash windows. This rear wing was extended in the early to mid 19th century, possibly originally serving as warehousing, and it now accommodates a row of separate shops.
