Description
10 Cheapside is a Grade II listed building, dating from the early 19th century. The front is stuccoed and features a moulded eaves board. The building has four storeys and includes one window with sashes and glazing bars set in an exposed moulded casing. There is a small modern sash window to the right of the second floor. The ground floor has a Victorian double-fronted shop with a plate-glass window and an entablature, while a very large fascia completely covers the sash window on the first floor. The roof is low-pitched and covered with slate, featuring abutted gable ends. At the rear, there is a wing that retains remnants of timber-framing, likely from the 17th century. The site is historically significant as it was once the location of a medieval inn.
