Description

There are four cast-iron bollards located at Victoria Parade, dated 1848 and made by Cort and Bell of Leicester. Each bollard is designed as a square-plan obelisk set on a base. The front of each bollard features the date of manufacture '1848' and the foundry name 'CORT & BELL / LEICESTER' cast into the metal. The bollards are positioned at either end of Victoria Parade, with three located at the south-west end facing Market Place and one at the north-east end facing Gallowtree Gate.
