Description

44 Market Place is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick. It stands three storeys high and features one three-light sash window with glazing bars on each floor, although the first-floor bowed window has been replaced by a modern three-light sash. The ground floor has a modern shop front with a large fascia. Notable architectural details include a lead rainwater head, stone bands, and a modillion eaves cornice. This building is included for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos 44, 46, and 46B.
