Description
46 King Street is a Grade II listed building that originally served as a house and is now used as commercial premises. It stands three stories high and features four bays, topped by a close-eaved slate gabled roof. There are short brick chimney stacks positioned to the left and right of the left end gable. The front elevation is made of painted brick, showcasing window openings with prominent voussoirs and keystones on the upper floors. The second-floor windows are square and fitted with later 19th-century hornless sashes that have narrower outer panes. The first floor features long 15-pane hornless sashes on all but the third window, which has a higher sill and a 12-pane sash. The ground floor has been entirely altered and now includes a 20th-century shop front. The left end wall is constructed of red brick.
