Description

The sundial in the churchyard at the Parish Church of St Chad is made of sandstone and is designed to resemble a column. It stands on two concentric stone steps. The shaft features the initials and date "RCW 1736 TP?W" carved into it. The upper face of the sundial no longer has its dial and gnomon.
