Description

The sundial, located to the south-west of the Church of St. Chad in Uppermill, is believed to date from 1835. It is made of stone and features a copper dial and gnomon. The sundial has an octagonal shaft that displays both concave and convex curves, along with a moulded base and head. The shaft is set within a recess in an octagonal plinth stone. This sundial is included in the listing for its group value with the church.
