SADDLEWORTH CHURCH LANE SE 00 NW (east side) Uppermill 4/49 Village stocks outside St. Chad's 19/6/67 Church G.V. II Village stocks. "IW HW 1698" inscribed on posts. Stone posts with replaced timber foot restraints. Each post has a cylindrical-shaped head with concentric circles carved on the outer faces. The date appears on the front faces. J.
