Description

The village stocks, dating from the late 18th century, are located in the Market Place of Woodhouse, Sheffield. They consist of a pair of round-headed stone posts, which have slots on their inner faces designed to hold restored wooden cross pieces. The stocks were restored in the late 20th century.
