Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dated 1690 and restored in the late 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings, featuring a rendered gable and an artificial stone slate roof with a 20th-century ridge stack. The building has an L-plan layout, with two storeys plus garrets and a two-window range. The windows have chamfered stone mullions and surrounds. The north front includes a string course, with a two-light window to the left and a single light window to the right. Below, there is a two-light window to the left and a 19th-century half-glazed door to the right, which has a heavy stone lintel inscribed "E W 1690". To the left, there is a single-storey former stable with a coped gable and double doors. The right wing features a string course at the return angle, a single light window, and a three-light window. Below, there is a single window to the left and a carriage opening with double doors to the right. The right gable has a single light window on the lower floors and two single light windows in the garrets, with all windows except the ground floor window having drip moulds. The interior is said to contain a late 17th-century newel stair with ball finials.
