Description

The Village Cross in Woodhouse is a market cross with a base that likely dates back to the 14th century. It features a restored cross that was dated in 1826 and again in 1897. The structure is made of two types of ashlar stone. It has a square base consisting of four steps that supports an octagonal shaft, which is topped by a tapered square pedestal and a cornice. At the top, there is a four-sided sundial and a damaged wrought-iron weather vane, although the finial is missing.
