Description

The Village Cross is a late medieval structure featuring a chamfered red sandstone shaft that stands on a graduated octagonal stepped base. This base is made up of six sandstone steps. The plinth of the shaft has a carved inscription that reads, "THIS PINNACLE RE-FIXED 1896."
