Description

The building consists of gates, gate piers, and railings at the west entrance to the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Chad. These are in a Gothic style. The squared gate piers have quatrefoils with floral detailing at their centres and are topped by later lamps. Two further end piers are of similar style, with the one on the right finished with a cast iron urn. The railings feature decorative friezes including quatrefoils and baluster heads. Similar quatrefoil detailing is present on the gates, including the lock and dog bars.
