Description

The former churchyard cross, now serving as a sundial, is located approximately 5 meters south of the Church of St. Chad. This medieval structure is made of sandstone and features a roughly carved square socket stone with chamfered corners, along with a fragment of an octagonal shaft. The remaining part of the shaft appears to have been inverted and now acts as the base for the sundial, a function it has fulfilled since at least the late 19th century.
