Description

The building is a churchyard cross sundial located south of the Church of St Cuthbert in Clifton. It dates back to the medieval period and is made of calciferous sandstone. The structure features a square base socket stone with a chamfered-edged shaft. At the top, there is an 18th-century bronze sundial, which is missing its gnomon and is inscribed with the initials I&MG.
