Description

This is an early 18th-century farmhouse, now a private house, with later 18th-century extensions. The walls are cement rendered with V-jointed quoins, and the roof is covered with graduated greenslate tiles, featuring red-brick chimney stacks. The main part of the house is two storeys and two bays, with a single-bay extension to the right under a common roof. A rear right-angled extension forms an overall T-shape. The central entrance has a top-glazed door within a painted, chamfered stone surround. The original part of the house has three-light, flat stone-mullioned windows; the ground floor windows are taller than those above. The right extension has multi-paned casement windows in painted stone surrounds. The rear extension incorporates sash windows with glazing bars within painted stone surrounds. A small lean-to wash-house is located on the right side.
