Description

Yanwath Woodhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 18th or early 19th century. It features roughcast walls with V-jointed quoins and is topped by a graduated greenslate roof, which includes banded stone chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a top-glazed panelled door, accessed by steps, and is framed by a stone architrave beneath a panel displaying the quartered Lowther arms. The windows are sash style, also set within stone architraves. The adjoining barns are not of interest.
