Description
The Lodge is a building constructed from roughly coursed rubble with dressed stone quoins and features red brick extensions. It has a slate roof with wide boarded eaves and a red brick chimney. The building has an irregular plan and consists of single storey stone and brick subsidiary ranges, with one and a half storeys overall. The elevation facing the road has a gabled design, with an offset casement window that has multipaned glazing and pointed gothic style heads. There is a central casement window in the attic. On the left side, there are two similar windows on the ground floor and an oriel window with the same glazing detail situated just below the eaves. A brick extension is located to the left. The right side features a stone lean-to range that is attached at right angles, along with a low brick extension at the rear. The interior was not accessible during the 1996 survey.
