Description
Bryn Goleu is a building featuring painted pebbledash, a slate roof, and brick chimneys. It has an L-shaped plan with one and a half and two storeys. The windows are generally multipaned cast iron. The south elevation facing the drive is symmetrical, showcasing a pair of bay windows and a pair of hipped dormers. The right-hand return has a small ground floor window and a two-sided oriel with Gothic style glazing detail, both positioned to the left. The rear wing includes a door with 18th century character to the left, a tripartite casement to the right, and a casement above the door. The rear of the wing features an oriel with Gothic style glazing detail, also offset to the left. The left-hand return elevation has an external stack, a door, and irregular fenestration in the wing, including an oriel to the left.
Although not inspected during the 1996 survey, a report from 1984 noted that chamfered ceiling beams and some evidence of the roof structure, including windbraces, were visible, along with several early doors that have survived.
