Description

The Granary is a three-storey building constructed from rubble, featuring two attached ranges with slate roofs and red brick chimney stacks. The right side has wide eaves. The left range has a broad three-window front with a plinth, while the right range has a two-window front that is splayed back, continuing to splay at the extreme right end. Most windows are small pane sash windows, with fixed glazed small pane windows on the ground floor to the left. The right-hand range includes modern windows on the second floor and Victorian sash windows on the ground floor. The left side has stone lintels, while the right side features cambered voussoirs. There is a boarded loft door and winch located to the center left above a slightly cambered cart entrance, which has double boarded doors. Each end of the building has four-panel doors with three-pane overlights. The center of the right-hand range includes a six-panel door with a pilastered doorcase, and there is a cellar opening to the right.

The rear of the building is made of rubble with brick dressings and small pane casement windows. There is a two-storey rubble extension at the right rear, which has blocked openings and a modern kitchen lean-to. The interior is whitewashed rubble with stone flagging and features a king-post roof construction.
