Description
Llwynderi is a house constructed from rubble stone with slate roofs, featuring two storeys and an attic. The building consists of two parallel ranges, with the earlier range located at the rear. The front range includes a large 20th-century window with a hoodmould on the left side of the ground floor, a window on the first floor further to the right, and a door situated in a lean-to timber porch beneath a rendered wall, which has a window. Additional render is applied to the right over red brick. There is an oak-framed door and a wallface red brick stack positioned left of centre. The left gable end features a 20th-century window with a hoodmould on each floor. To the left, there is a door set in a large c1900 timber and red tile hipped porch. Further left, the gable end of the original range has a gable brick stack, two small modern attic windows, one small 20th-century window with a hoodmould on the left of each main floor, and a 20th-century stair light at mid-height to the right, also with a hoodmould. The rear of the building has one 20th-century window at the centre under the eaves and a large cambered-headed 20th-century three-light window below.
The rear range features an east end fireplace with a chamfered lintel and an angular-headed recess cut into it, along with stone jambs. A staircase is located to the left. Inside, there are four beams with stepped hollow stops on the chamfers, and similar stops can be found on the joists and the lintel over the window. A winding staircase with solid oak treads leads up to the attic. The first floor contains four beams with similar stops and a fireplace with an oak lintel and chamfered stone jambs. The roof is supported by three heavy trusses with collars and double purlins. The parallel range at the front may date from the 18th century and has undergone significant alterations, but it retains some large beams. There is also a cellar beneath the house.
