Description
St Kentigern's Hospice House is a three-storey shop and house built in the second quarter of the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with a plain brick end chimney on the left side. The facade includes a simple early 20th-century shop front and two upper storeys. The shop front slightly projects outward and has a rolled lead roof with a plain angled fascia. There is a recessed entrance to the left with a modern plain-glazed door, and to the right, there is a large three-pane window that extends into an additional pane towards the entrance. The upper floors maintain their original windows: the first floor has a 12-pane unhorned sash window with a cambered head and a projecting sill. To the right of this window is a wooden canted bay featuring a 15-pane unhorned main sash section with a hipped roof, and the second floor has 9-pane sashes, consistent with the style of the first floor.
