Description
The Mascot is a house and shop built in the mid-19th century. It features a red brick exterior with a combination of slated and plain tiled roofing. The building is constructed in at least two sections, following a canted plot line. It stands two storeys tall, with the right two bays set back slightly. The roof is hipped to the right, and there is a chimney stack located towards the centre left.
On the first floor, there are five sash windows, while the ground floor has two windows on the left, with one glazing bar sash at the end right. The shop front includes a plate glass window and a half-glazed door to the centre right, along with a slightly bowed 18-light shop window and a half-glazed door in the centre. There is also a four-panelled door at the end left. The building is included for its group value, particularly for the central shop window front.
