Description

The Post Office is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and displays a brick dentil eaves cornice. The roof is hipped on the left side, with chimneys located to the centre left and projecting at the end right.

To the left is the post office, which has large wooden casements with 32 panes on both floors, a canted bay window to the right, and a glazing bar sash window above. The central door is half-glazed and shares a fascia and cornice with the bay window.

To the right is the house, which has a regular arrangement of two glazing bar sash windows on each floor. The ground floor windows have segmental heads, and the door is made up of six panels and features a flat hood supported by brackets.
