Description

This early 19th-century house and shop was built on an earlier foundation. It is constructed of brown brick with a plain tiled roof and comprises two parallel ranges. The building is two storeys high, with stacks to the left and at the right end. The first floor has two glazing bar sashes and a central blank window space. On the ground floor, there is a single glazing bar sash to the left, a shop window to the right with a half-glazed margin light door, and a half-glazed and boarded door with a rectangular fanlight, all set within fluted pilaster surrounds. The right return side shows evidence of older brickwork and rebuilding, some of which is rendered. The building is included on the register for its group value.
