Description
Just Travel is a long shop and house dating from the 19th century, featuring a narrow three-storey gabled frontage. It is constructed of red brick with yellow stock brick banding and lozenge decoration at the gable apex. The roof is slate with simply-moulded bargeboards.
The ground floor showcases a late 19th-century shop front that cleverly curves in a concave arc around the projecting gable end of the adjacent property at number 13. This shop front includes a large window on the left, flanked by narrow colonnettes, and a recessed entrance on the right, which features a part-glazed door with an arched upper section and a leaded overlight. There is also an iron spiked half-gate at the front, aligned with the shop window. The shop front has a panelled pilaster on the right and a similarly curved fascia with simple moulded detail.
Above, the first floor has a canted wooden oriel bay with panelled aprons and a hipped slate roof, along with plain sash windows. The second floor features another sash window with a cambered head and counter-changed yellow-red brick voussoirs. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
