Description
Ray Cronin (Newsagents) is a three-storey shop built from rendered brick and topped with a slate roof, featuring a tall brick chimney on the right side. The facade is symmetrical with two bays on the upper floors. The ground floor showcases a 20th-century shop front that includes a central entrance, which is recessed and flanked by shop windows with canted inner returns and a par-glazed door. The shop windows are plain-glazed, with small-pane upper sections that extend across the entrance bay as a continuous band. To the right of the shop front, there is an entrance with a 20th-century six-panel door and a small-pane overlight, both styled similarly, and it is flanked by plain pilasters. Above, the first floor features two wooden canted oriel windows with plain sashes, along with moulded eaves and hipped slate roofs. The second floor has two plain sash windows with projecting stone sills.
