Description
The Field Barn at Dylysau Isaf is a 19th-century structure built from a mix of slate and rubble, incorporating some small boulders, with boulder foundations. The roof is covered with small slates arranged in diminishing courses. There are three doorways, each featuring simple stone lintels. Two of the doors are located in the typical positions at the gable end (north) and the opposite corner (southwest), while an additional doorway is found on the long side (east). The building was originally lofted, as indicated by a pitching window in the gable end facing the road. Inside, the barn features old roof trusses of a simple tie-beam type, with new rafters.
