Description
Pont Rhyd-Llanfair is a steeply cambered road bridge dating from the 19th century. It features a single high arch that spans approximately 27 meters, with a carriageway that is about 5 meters wide. The bridge is constructed from flat coursed grey rubble blocks, and the arch is made of thin voussoirs with stepped keystones. Below the parapet, there is a levelling course that is around 1 meter high, topped with mainly original heavy flat coping stones. The flared approach walls end in square pillars.
