Description
Ty'n Coed Isaf is a field barn with random irregular local rubble walls, gables featuring copings and kneelers, and a slate roof with simple stone lintels. The side elevations have two tiers of vertical ventilation slits. The building was originally fully lofted and was used for drying bark for the tanning industry. The south gable end has a doorway with a stone lintel and ventilation slits on three levels. The north gable has a door under a deep stone lintel to the left, along with a stone stair leading up to a similar loft door, above which is a small square opening. The roof consists of two tie-beam trusses made of sawn timbers and two tiers of purlins.
