Description
This is a large barn built from rubble stone with a slate roof, situated partly into a bank. The north side, which is uphill, features a central doorway with a cambered arch and stone voussoirs, along with six ventilation slots located under the eaves. The right end of the barn has a large door with a timber lintel, while the left end, which is built onto bedrock, includes an opening at ground level that corresponds to the loft level inside. The rear also has six ventilation slots under the eaves.
Inside, the barn is spacious, with bedrock exposed at the left end. It contains five large tie-beam trusses, each supported by four diagonal struts, and there is no loft floor present.
