Description

Bryn Eithin and the attached agricultural ranges are a two-storey building dating from the 18th century, constructed with rubble masonry and facing southeast. The slate roof features rectangular stone end chimneys and raking gable copings. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casement windows positioned at the eaves. A shallow single-storey gabled brick porch shelters a simple boarded door, with two ground floor casements flanking the entrance; a 3-light window to the left and a 2-light window to the right. The ground floor openings are topped with deep stone lintels.

To the left of the house, there is a stone outhouse with a monopitch roof and a cast iron water pump at the front. The house extends to the right at a lower level, functioning as a barn, featuring simple doors and stone lintels, with a gabled roof covered in thin slates and a single threshing floor without a loft.

At the rear of the main block, there is a door and window with stone lintels and some brick dressings. A projecting gabled rear wing features a rectangular stone chimney, a single first floor casement window, and a ground floor window beneath a deep stone lintel. This wing extends at a lower level as a cowhouse, with a thin slate roof laid in diminishing courses, large slab masonry, and heavy stone lintels. The junction of the roof with the house is protected by water tabling in the gable. There are two almost square agricultural-type windows with a stable-type door between them, and a further doorway to the right that is now blocked. A smaller vertically-proportioned window is also located to the right.

Inside, the ground floor room to the left of the entrance features a large fireplace with a heavy wooden lintel and roughly-chamfered beams. The roof has heavy A-frame trusses and purlins that are visible in the room to the left.
