Description
Dugoed is a two-storey building with a symmetrical front, constructed from local slate rubble and topped with a slate roof. It features end chimney stacks made of stone; the left one is rectangular, while the right one is square and rises from ground level as a projecting shouldered chimney. On the first floor, there is a central small window flanked by vertically-proportioned casement windows. The central doorway, which has a slate lintel supported by corbels, is located beneath a broad gabled porch. To each side of the doorway, there are more vertically-proportioned casement windows.
At the rear, there is a small window at the eaves at an angle with the northern wing, which has a square stone chimney in its northern gable. On the eastern front, there is a single first-floor vertically-proportioned casement window set at the eaves, which appears to have been reduced in width. On the ground floor, to the left, there is a doorway with a 'Cyclopean' monolithic head and jambs made of large upright slabs, and to the right, there is a three-light casement window. The rear of the building includes a 19th-century dairy outshot.
Inside, the southern part has a modern ceiling but retains original beams. The northern wing is said to have original beams and joists along with an open roof. Next to the fireplace, there is a winding stone stair.
