Description
The Field Barn at Bryn Mawr is a 19th-century structure built from drystone rubble masonry. It features a steeply pitched quarry slate roof with plain eaves and raking gable parapets. The barn has central opposed doorways with stone lintels and split plank doors, along with an additional door to the extreme left on the front, which also has a stone lintel and a plank door. There is a pitching door located at the uphill gable end. Inside, the barn is supported by two through purlin collar and tie beam trusses. A 20th-century rubble lean-to has been added to the downhill gable end, topped with a corrugated iron roof.
