Description

These are two cottages, likely dating from the 19th century. They are built of rubble masonry with steeply pitched slate roofs, featuring plain eaves and close verges. The chimneys are tall, square stone structures with a pebbledashed finish. The walls incorporate water tabling, and an end stack to the second cottage projects outwards, featuring slated offsets. A lateral stack is located at the rear of the second cottage. Five pebbledashed gabled dormers light the lofts. The windows are 2-light casement windows; three are found in the first cottage and two in the second. Two-light casement windows are positioned on either side of the central doorways, with stone lintels above. The window on the right-hand side of the first cottage has small panes of glass. A slate slab hood protects the plank door of the second cottage, while the door of the first cottage has some fielded panels. The interior features transverse, roughly chamfered ceiling beams.
