Description

11-13 High Street is a pair of two-storey, three-window houses built in the late 19th century. The houses have pebble-dashed walls, a steep slate roof, and a roughcast stack on the left-hand side, which has been heightened with brick. Number 13 is differentiated from number 11 by rusticated quoins. Number 11 has a central doorway with a replaced door and overlight. The window openings have plain architraves, and the upper-storey windows have a sill band. The windows are late 19th-century, two-pane sashes with horns, inserted into earlier openings. A freestone sundial with a canopy is set to the right of centre, beneath the eaves, and is dated 1616 in raised numerals.

Number 11 also has a doorway lower down on the left-hand side with a boarded door and overlight, and a passage doorway on the lower right-hand side, which has been narrowed and fitted with an inserted door. The windows here are set in 19th-century moulded architraves that formerly incorporated sash windows. The lower storey has a blind window in the centre. The upper storey has windows on the left and right, which incorporate two-light casements, while the central window is blind.

A gabled wing extends to the rear. The building was not inspected internally.
