Description

This is a late Georgian house, divided into two properties and partially converted for commercial use. The exterior walls are finished with scribed render, topped by a renewed slate roof and roughcast end stacks. The house is three storeys high and has three bays, with a pair of doorways in the centre. Number 9 has a fielded-panel door with a plain overlight, while Number 7 has a replaced door also with a plain overlight, flanked by pilaster strips and a modern pediment. A 4-pane sash window is located to the right of the lower storey on Number 9. On Number 7, a late 20th-century shop window is set to the left, framed by panelled pilasters and a fascia. Above the shop window, the central bay has blind windows, with 4-pane, horned sash windows in both the middle and upper storeys. The rear of Number 9 is constructed from rubble stone with sash windows, whilst the rear of Number 7 is rendered and features a full-height projection and an attic dormer. The building forms part of a group with 7-9 High Street.
