Description
The farm buildings at Erw consist of a barn and cow housing, designed in a roughly L-shaped layout. The main section runs approximately from north-east to south-west, with an additional range extending at right angles to the south-east. There is a short projection at the north-west end of the main range, and at the opposite end, there is a small, lower detached outbuilding. The buildings are constructed from uncoursed rubblestone and topped with slate roofs.
On the north-west elevation, there are gables on both ends; the right gable is wider and projects forward, featuring an infilled doorway on the ground floor and a stable door on the left side. The left gable has a hatch at the upper level. The long connecting range has a doorway on the left and another slightly right of centre, with narrow ventilation slits on either side of the doorways. The interior was not accessible during the survey.
