Description

Cae Hen is a farmhouse, originally dating to the 17th century and extended in the mid-20th century. The original portion is a two-storey, three-window front, with a two-storey, flat-roofed addition projecting at right angles to the rear, and a single-storey range attached behind that. It is constructed of un-coursed rubble stone, some in large blocks, neatly pointed to the front and buttered to the returns, with a slate roof and rendered integral end stacks. The front features sixteen-pane glazing bar sash windows, all with slate sills and lintels; the first-floor centre window is blind and has a painted "dummy" window, while the lower right window is a replacement with horns. A central entrance has a 20th-century glazed door with a shallow overlight. A sash window is present on the first floor of the left return. The interior was not accessible at the time of survey.
