Description

Tyddyn y Gwydd is a farmhouse, likely dating to the 16th century, with alterations and extensions through subsequent centuries. It is a two-storey, three-window front building with a single-storey lean-to addition to the rear. The exterior is constructed of irregularly coursed rubble stone, painted to the front and with rendered gable ends. The roof is slate, originally with integral end stacks, the right-hand stack now removed and the left-hand stack rebuilt. The windows are 16-pane glazing bar sashes with slate cills; those on the first floor are positioned directly below the eaves. The central entrance now has a 20th-century half-glazed door and shallow overlight. The rear elevation includes two top-hung windows positioned above the lean-to. The interior was not accessible at the time of survey.
