Description
The farm buildings at Cororion, dating from the 19th century, form a basic U-shape with a long central cowhouse. To the north on the west side, there is a two-storey section that includes a cart shelter at the front with a hay loft above and a barn behind. The eastern section is less prominent and features stables at the front, with cowhouses continuing behind and a feed shed at the rear. To the east of the cowhouses, there are two yards, and a wall running east-west connects to a set of three pigsties located by the southern cowhouse.
The buildings are constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone with quoins and have slate roofs, which are hipped except for the pigsties and the south end of the eastern cowhouses, which are gabled. Slate ventilators are present on the cowhouses and stables. The central cowhouse range has paired windows on either side of stable doors, with a single window between the two doorways, although this is obscured by a 20th-century lean-to. The cart shelter features a wide doorway and two square eaves windows, while the barn has wide opposing doorways, with the one on the west flanked by rectangular air vents and another doorway to the far right. The stables have a doorway at the angle with the central cowhouse range and a wide opening, which is not original, roughly at the centre. The eastern elevation of the cowhouses has four wide doorways leading onto the yards, and the pigsties retain their three pens and intact slate feeding troughs.
The single-storey sections of the buildings feature queen-post roof trusses.
