Description
Caeherfyn Cottage is a single-storey building with a two-room layout, oriented roughly east-west, and featuring a loft above the right (west) room. The cottage is constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone and has a graded slate roof with purple brick coping. The front of the building includes four-pane horned sash windows with red-painted frames and slate cills, positioned on either side of an offset boarded door that has a glazed panel. All openings are topped with slate lintels, and there are rendered integral end stacks. A small window in the right gable end provides light to the crog-lofft above the right room. At the rear, there is a lean-to with a boarded door leading to the road.
The interior was not accessible during the survey, but the well-preserved exterior suggests that it is unlikely to have undergone extensive alterations, making it potentially of particular interest.
