Description
Talgae is a single-storey cottage that was likely used by a smallholder or quarry worker. It has a two-room layout, with a loft above the right room and a heated room on the left. At the back, there is a catslide lean-to. The exterior is made of roughly coursed rubblestone and is limewashed on the front, topped with a slate roof. The cottage features eight-pane wide rectangular sash windows with slate cills on either side of a central 20th-century boarded door that has a glazed panel. There is also a small rooflight and a stepped integral end stack with slate drips to the left. A two-light casement window provides light to the loft at the right gable end. The interior was not accessible during the survey.
