Description
Pen-y-Gongl is a single-storey cottage constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone, with some traces of limewash and a rendered right gable end. The cottage has a slate roof and features a two-room plan, with the left room being unheated. There is a lean-to outshut at the rear, and the slight continuation of the front wall beyond the right gable end suggests that there may have been an outbuilding or another cottage attached to the right side. The windows on either side of the central boarded door, which has a small glazed panel, are late 20th-century horned 12-pane glazing bar sashes. A substantial integral end stack with slate drips is located on the right side. The cottage was not accessible at the time of the survey.
