Description

This is an early to mid-19th century milestone associated with the turnpike road that was first established in the 1820s. It is made of slate stone and features a simple chamfered top edge. The milestone is inscribed in descending order with the distances to Beddgelert (4 miles), Waenfawr (5 and a quarter miles), and Carnarvon (9 miles).
