Description
This is an early to mid-19th century milestone associated with the turnpike road that was first established in the 1820s. It is made of slate stone and features a simple chamfered top edge. The milestone is inscribed with "MLS." in the top right corner, and below that, it reads "CARNARVON 4/ BEDDGELERT 9".
